Did you watch these last night? I usually don't subject myself to award shows but I was doing the crossword puzzle while my husband flipped back and forth between the AMAs, National Treasure and the
demolition of the Buffalo Bills by the New England Patriots. I have but three questions:
1) Is it just me or is Duran Duran's Simon LeBon starting to look like Captain Kangaroo? Between the jowls he's acquired in his advanced maturity and the pork chop sideburns, he looks like he's ready for a tv show with Mr. Green Jeans.
2) Exactly how OLD is Tony Hawk and why was he at a music award show?
and finally...
3) What in God's name were they thinking when they decided to have country band Sugarland sing Beyonce's "Irreplaceable"??? What whiz kid was in that planning meeting going "well, it worked for Bon Jovi"?
Technically, I have four questions but this last one is unrelated to the AMAs. And it's more of a rhetorical question anyway. One of the viewing choices last night, as I mentioned, was
National Treasure. We own this movie on DVD. So why does my husband endure commercials and a crappy picture when he could put the DVD in and watch the movie in its widescreen, digitally enhanced glory? Like I said, rhetorical question, don't expect an answer. (Love you, dear!)
