Grrl Talk

From the depths of the toy box.

I just went to the door to let The Fuzzbucket in and I could see legs hanging out of her mouth. After my initial recoil in horror, I looked closer and realized it was just one of her toys that she had taken outside. It's a frog whose body is a bouncy ball and it is about the size of a real bullfrog; hence my confusion. Fuzz has been carrying it everywhere since yesterday; prior to that it had been M.I.A. but we found it... in Ollie's room... with HER toys. I shudder to think what we'll find in there as she gets older. I'll probably be wishing for dog toys...

UPDATE: Fuzz was so happy to have her bouncy frog back that she chewed on it for days. She methodically chewed off all its legs so now it's just a round body and a frog head. It bounces better now.

One more thing before I pass out from sheer exhaustion.

I want to get a tattoo - something that incorporates my children - but I have no ideas for a design. Any suggestions?

 Cheese, anyone?

Okay, I don't watch this show and I'll be the first to admit this video is cheesier than a dairy farm in Wisconsin, but this clip from America's Got Talent is kinda cute and it did make me smile. Click HERE to watch.

 No obedience school dropout here.

Well, The Fuzzbucket graduated from Beginner Puppy class last Friday. My husband got a really cute picture of her wearing a little mortarboard - if I can ever get him to transfer it from his phone, I'll post it. Our class started out with about 10 dogs in it; by week 5 (out of 8) we were down to three dogs. Remarkably, The Fuzzbucket did the best out of all of them in her "practical exam". The instructor even invited us to come back for Intermediate classes, which surprised the hell out of me. In all honesty, at week 5 I was ready to quit. But not being a quitter (yeah, right... more like not wanting to piss away 100 bucks on training classes), I stuck with it and the monster is actually remarkably well-trained. I even taught her a couple of tricks. Useless, but cute.

Oh and speaking of cute and useless, the neighbors big dumb lab puppy busted through his electric fence the other night and came over to play with our dogs. Except that Wondermutt didn't want anything to do with it and Fuzz, for all her deep-throated German Shepherd attack-dog barking, literally cowered in the corner of the deck with her tail tucked between her legs. Idiot.

 Fat-free KFC? I don't think so.

I just saw a TV commercial for KFC that proclaimed "NOW, same great taste with NO trans fat!". Okay, first of all, how? Second of all, I doubt it. And third, what's the point??? I mean, I've had trans-fat-free french fries and frankly, they suck.
