Last weekend, Grover and Ollie went to stay with the grandparents. Their absence afforded my husband and I the opportunity to do things we don't normally get to do, like eat at restaurants that DON'T give out crayons and go to movies that are NOT animated rated "G". We ate at
518 West, one of my favorite places in Raleigh, and saw Spiderman 3. We also played golf, which I haven't done in about a hundred years. I used to be pretty good but 7 or 8 years without playing certainly did me no favors. I had fun anyway. My husband managed not to wound or otherwise kill any small furry animals on the course, always a plus. (While at a business conference many years ago, my husband's ball hit a rabbit and BA put it out of its misery while another co-worker looked on in horror and I secretly wished it was the co-worker's neck that was being broken.) Anyway, I had enough fun to want to go again but I've got to get decent clubs first. I don't have a lot of money to spend so I'm scouting Ebay. Any recommendations on brands or features would be much appreciated.
Speaking of recommendations, I went with a digital picture frame for my husband's birthday. It holds up to 53 3-megapixel or 25 5-megapixel images in its built-in 64MB memory (& hundreds more with a media card or memory stick) and displays a single picture or contnuous slideshow on a high definition LCD screen. It is way cool (Fishmonger, I know what you mean about the digital camera) and was a big hit. The best part is that my husband doesn't have the time to set it up, so I get to do it. Sweet!
